Hampshire-Based Firm Sentenced in Court After Workers Suffer Injuries

A firm based in Hampshire has been charged relative to some serious safety failings after two incidents in less than one week. The incident left two of the company’s employees in devastating injuries.

According to the Dundee Sherriff Court, Hydro Pumps Ltd was asked to pay a fine amounting to £46,500. The two incidents occurred from work to the Tay Road Bridge, Dundee in July and August of 2007.

The firm pleaded guilty to violating Section 2 of the Health and Safety at Work Etc Act 1974 by failing to ensure the health and safety of its employees.
