Million Dollar Lawsuit against Doctors, Now SettledAnthony Jackson, a real estate agent from Noosa Ville, filed a personal injury lawsuit worth a whopping $3.5 million against several doctors of the Noosa Junction Medical Center. He filed the case at the Queensland Supreme Court against the center’s owner, Dr. Nicholas Hummel, and his treating doctor, Dr. Peter Clem, for being negligible in approaching his symptoms last March, 2007.

It was reported that after consultation, his symptoms developed into a severe viral infection in the central nervous system that causes a brain injury, “herpes encephalitis”. The personal injury case, however, has been settled in Brisbane Supreme Court last week in a confidential matter.
